Is the plant federally inspected?

Yes. Central Illinois Poultry Processing LLC is under USDA inspection. All product is inspected and will be labeled accordingly. Federal inspection allows you to sell your product anywhere in the USA.

What does it cost to process my birds?

The charge to process your poultry is determined by the breed, size, quantity of the birds, and the packaging option you choose. See our pricing sheet.

Is there a minimum number of poultry I need to bring?

We have a 30-bird minimum charge for chickens and a 5-bird minimum charge for turkeys. We will accept fewer birds than that but will charge the minimum amount. See pricing for more details.

How do I schedule processing?

You may contact us by phone at 217-543-2937 or by emailing We recommend that you schedule at least 3 weeks prior to the processing date. We encourage you to schedule processing as far in advance as possible. We ask that you let us know immediately if you need to change the date or quantity of poultry you plan to bring.

What kinds of poultry do you process?

We offer custom processing for chickens, turkeys, pheasants, quail, and guineas. We do not accept waterfowl (ducks and geese).


We offer same day pickup. Packaging options such as deboning and grinding take more than one day to complete. We will communicate an estimated pickup time to you when you drop your birds off in the morning. Early to mid-afternoon is normal. If you wish for us to freeze your product, that will require an additional 24 hours. Freezing does cost extra. See pricing.

Can you put my farm name on my product?

Our default labeling will display Central Illinois Poultry Processing. We do offer private labeling featuring your farm or brand name. We do not have the capability to print logos on your product at this time. There is a onetime fee to set-up private labeling.

Is the plant certified organic?

No. We do not currently have enough volume of organic poultry to feasibly offer certified organic processing.

Central Illinois Poultry Processing is 2.75 miles directly south of the 4-way stop in Arthur. Our physical address is 119 N. CR 000 E., Arthur, IL 61911. See directions.

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check, and Visa, Mastercard, and Discover credit cards. An additional 2% transaction fee will be added to credit card payments.
